The Falls of Dochart Inn is arguably the most perfectly situated pub in the Scottish Highlands. Its terrace overlooks the thundering Falls of Dochart, and the interior is a classic Highland bar with roaring fire, real ales, and an excellent food menu focused on local produce.

There are few pubs in Scotland with a better view. On a warm evening, sitting on the terrace watching the River Dochart cascade over the rocks while sipping a local ale is one of life’s great simple pleasures. The food is reliably good — hearty pub fare with a Scottish accent, including excellent venison and haggis dishes.

Reviews

"The terrace overlooking the falls is simply stunning. We sat outside with pints watching the salmon leap. The haggis spring rolls were brilliant — best bar food we had in Scotland."
