From a Victorian country house in Killin to a log cabin with a hot tub on the loch shore, the accommodation around Loch Tay is better than you'd expect — and bookable year-round. Here are the places we recommend.
The Kenmore Hotel claims to be Scotland's oldest inn, with records dating back to 1572. Robert Burns stayed here in 1787 and inscribed a poem on the chimney breast. Today it offers comfortable, character-filled accommodation, excellent dining at Shutters restaurant, and a prime position overlooking Loch Tay.

If you're staying more than a night, get a self-catering lodge on the loch. Waking up to that view with a cup of coffee is reason enough to visit.
